The Resynced platinum takes about 40-50 hours and sits around 3.5/10 difficulty. No multiplayer trophies, no missable trophies, no difficulty requirements. You can play the whole game on the easiest setting and mop up everything in free roam after the credits roll. The grind is real, though, and a handful of trophies will test your patience or timing more than anything else on the list.

This guide covers Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced (July 9, 2026) on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect). Built on the latest Ubisoft Anvil engine, Resynced is a full remake of the 2013 original with a reworked trophy list. New to the game? Start with our Black Flag Resynced beginner's guide first.

Trophy Overview

Category Detail
Total Trophies 50 (1 Platinum, 1 Gold, 11 Silver, 37 Bronze)
Estimated Difficulty 3.5 / 10
Estimated Time 40-50 hours
Playthroughs Required 1
Missable Trophies None
Online Trophies None (multiplayer removed)
Difficulty Trophies None (play on any setting)

Players who platinumed the original in 2013 will notice the biggest change right away: no multiplayer grind to Level 55. That alone shaves 20+ hours off the old requirement. Resynced also drops all optional mission constraints from the trophy list, so you do not need flawless stealth runs or zero-detection clears on specific memories.

The Hardest Trophies, Ranked

Nothing on this list will brick your save or require frame-perfect inputs. But some trophies demand preparation, routing, or a specific combat setup that trips up players who rush through. Here is what to watch out for.

1. Devil of the Caribbean (Defeat All Legendary Ships)

This is the hardest trophy in the game. Four legendary ships sit in the corners of the map, each gated behind the local fort. They hit harder and absorb more damage than anything else you fight on the water, and Resynced tuned them up from the original with distinct combat phases and higher health pools.

AC Black Flag Resynced legendary ship battle Jackdaw

You need a fully upgraded Jackdaw before you attempt any of these. Half-upgraded broadsides will get you sunk in the first exchange.

Ship Location What Makes It Rough
El Impoluto Dry Tortuga (northwest corner) Rams you over and over. You need to stay mobile and keep firing while dodging charges.
HMS Fearless & Royal Sovereign Eleuthera (northeast corner) Two ships at once. Sail between them and you eat crossfire from both sides. Focus one down before touching the other.
La Dama Negra Serranilla (southwest corner) Heavy plating blocks frontal damage. Get behind it for normal hits. Slow fight, easy to make mistakes.
HMS Prince Navassa (southeast corner) Long-range mortar spam in fog. Close the distance fast or the mortars will chew through your hull before you can respond.

Preparation checklist:

  • Max out Hull Armor, Broadside Cannons, Ram, and Heavy Shot.
  • Collect all 12 Ultimate Upgrade Plans (6 from underwater shipwrecks, 6 from treasure maps).
  • Recruit key officers. Tobias "Deadman" Smith gives you an extra broadside volley. Lucy Baldwin grants Perfect Brace, which cuts incoming damage when you time it right. Padre unlocks a ram-dash ability.
  • Brace every time you see orange glow on enemy cannons. Use your Swivel Gun on red weak spots whenever they appear.

The twin fight at Eleuthera tends to cause the most reloads. If HMS Fearless keeps flanking you, circle wide and keep both ships on the same side of your broadside arc. Mortars work well at the start to soften one ship before you commit to close range.

2. Ship This (Fully Upgrade the Jackdaw)

This trophy is a prerequisite for the legendary ships and a grind in itself. Full Jackdaw upgrades require roughly 315,800 Reales, 4,755 Metal, 2,750 Wood, 550 Cloth, and all 12 Ultimate Upgrade Plans.

AC Black Flag Resynced Jackdaw upgrade

How to speed this up:

  • Board ships instead of sinking them. Boarding yields double the materials.
  • Use the spyglass to check cargo before engaging. Chase ships carrying the specific material you need.
  • Capture forts early. Each fort clears a map region, unlocks fast travel, and opens Kenway's Fleet trade routes for passive income.
  • Upgrade the Harbormaster at Great Inagua (unlocked after Sequence 04, Mission 01: "This Old Cove"). Three tiers of Harbormaster upgrades gate higher ship upgrade levels.
  • Send ships on Kenway's Fleet missions. Passive Reales and materials while you do other things.

Prioritize Hull Armor and Broadside Cannons first. Survivability and damage output matter more than speed or mortar range in the early game. Pair the right trinkets with your build to cut farm time and boost combat sustain.

3. Let Me Explain (4 Takedowns After a Perfect Parry)

This one looks simple on paper: land a perfect parry, then chain four consecutive takedowns. In practice, most players fail it because they are using the wrong sword or fighting too few enemies.

AC Black Flag Resynced perfect parry combat chain

Setup:

  • Equip a sword with a "Maximum Takedowns" stat of 4 or higher. The Officer's Rapier works and is sold at the Great Inagua General Store after Sequence 04, Mission 01. The Espada Ancha also qualifies.
  • Find a group of at least four enemies. Plantations and boarding sequences put enough targets around you.

Execution:

  1. Let enemies surround you.
  2. Watch for the blue glow on an incoming attack. Press L1/RB at the exact moment to land a perfect parry.
  3. Immediately press Triangle/Y to start chaining takedowns. Keep pressing it. Four kills in quick succession pops the trophy.

If the chain breaks at two or three, your sword's max takedown stat is too low. Check your inventory before blaming your timing.

4. Perfect Predator (Perfect Harpoon Shot on a Great White Shark)

Harpooning has a hidden timing mechanic that the game does not explain well. You need a single "perfect" harpoon throw, not a kill.

How to land it:

  1. Sail to a Great White Shark harpoon point. The Cruz region (490, 303) or Serranilla both work.
  2. Hold L2/LT to aim, then hold R2/RT to charge the throw.
  3. Watch the reticle shrink. When you see a brief white flash or pulse on the reticle, release R2/RT.
  4. If you timed it, the trophy unlocks immediately. You do not need to finish the hunt.

You cannot harpoon during a storm. If one rolls in, fast travel out and come back. No gear upgrades needed for this one.

5. Cartographer (Visit Every Location)

57 named locations: 39 islands, 11 forts, and 7 underwater shipwrecks. You do not need to clear or complete them. You need to visit each one so it registers as discovered and unlocks fast travel.

Full Map of Ac Black Flag Resynced

Forts count as visited the moment you sail close enough. Shipwrecks require you to enter via the Diving Bell (unlocked in Sequence 06). A few islands are gated behind story progress, so finish the campaign before sweeping the map.

If a location still shows as "Undiscovered" on your map, you have not sailed close enough or entered it. Hunting spots and viewpoints do not count toward this trophy.

6. King of the Castle (Capture All 11 Forts)

One fort (Punta Guarico) is captured during Sequence 05 automatically. The other 10 can be taken any time, but the three-skull forts in the south will wreck an under-leveled Jackdaw.

Fort Difficulty
Dry Tortuga
Eleuthera
Gibara
Punta Guarico ★★ (story)
Cabo de Cruz ★★
Castillo de Jagua ★★
Conttoyor ★★
Chinchorro ★★★
Serranilla ★★★
Charlotte ★★★
Navassa ★★★

Start with the one-skull forts in the north. Use mortars at range to soften towers, then swivel gun the red weak spots. Brace while reloading. After the naval phase, dock and clear the ground soldiers. Kill the fort commander to claim it.

Captured forts become fast travel points and reveal nearby map icons, which helps with Cartographer cleanup.

7. Dilettante (Fill All Art Collection and Equipment Slots)

Your Great Inagua manor has display slots for Art Collection pieces and Equipment. Fill them all. This covers paintings, art pieces, ship models, portraits, swords, pistols, and other gear.

  • Paintings (9): One from each of the 9 Warehouses you raid across the map.
  • Portraits (11): Scattered around the world. Not always marked on the map until you are close.
  • Art Pieces (41): Decorative items from chests, side missions, and shops.
  • Ship Models (20): Earned by boarding a new type of ship for the first time.

Sync viewpoints to reveal map markers. Use the D-Pad Down map filter to isolate specific collectible types when you are hunting down the last few.

Trophies That Look Hard but Are Not

Hungover (Wake Up in a Haystack)

Walk into any tavern. Buy 5 drinks at 25 Reales each without leaving the bar. Edward passes out and wakes up in a haystack. Done. Takes about 30 seconds.

If you do this at the Grand Cayman tavern, you wake up next to a hidden chest with a Yoke-Form Vessel art piece. Two birds.

Friend to All (Interact with 8 Friendly Animals)

Pet or feed one of each: Chicken, Cat, Monkey, Parrot, Turtle, Dog, Pig, Cow. Kingston has most of them in the docks, market, and fenced areas. The Monkey requires completing the "Monkey Business" local event in Havana, then equipping it in your Inventory pet slot. The Turtle hangs out on Abaco Island's beach.

If an animal is not spawning, fast travel away and come back. None of them are missable.

All Hands On Deck (Recruit All Officers)

Officers are found through world events and side missions. The game marks them on your map. Three officers matter for gameplay: Tobias for extra broadsides, Lucy for Perfect Brace, and Padre for ram-dash. Recruit them all before attempting legendary ships.

Platinum Route (Recommended Order)

  1. Play the story on Easy. Enable unlimited oxygen in accessibility settings to make diving sections trivial.
  2. Board every ship you fight. Never sink anything. You need the double material yield for Jackdaw upgrades.
  3. Capture forts as you pass them. Start with one-skull forts in the north. Clearing forts early opens fast travel and trade routes.
  4. Upgrade the Harbormaster at Great Inagua after Sequence 04. This unlocks higher-tier ship upgrades.
  5. Collect Ultimate Upgrade Plans from shipwrecks (Diving Bell required after Sequence 06) and treasure maps.
  6. Fully upgrade the Jackdaw. Target Hull Armor and Broadside Cannons first.
  7. Recruit all officers before the legendary ship fights.
  8. Beat the legendary ships. Do HMS Prince or La Dama Negra first. Save the Eleuthera twin fight for last.
  9. Clean up collectibles. Sync remaining viewpoints, visit all 57 locations, fill the manor displays.
  10. Knock out misc trophies: Let Me Explain (perfect parry chain), Perfect Predator (harpoon timing), Hungover (drink at a tavern), Friend to All (pet 8 animals).

FAQ

Can I earn every trophy on the easiest difficulty?

Yes. No trophies require a specific difficulty setting. Pair easy mode with the unlimited oxygen accessibility option to remove all underwater pressure.

Are there any missable trophies?

No. Everything can be completed in free roam after the story. No choices lock you out of anything.

Do I need to play multiplayer?

No. Resynced has no multiplayer mode and no online trophies.

Which legendary ship should I fight first?

HMS Prince or La Dama Negra. Both are solo fights with manageable patterns once the Jackdaw is maxed. Save the Eleuthera twin fight (HMS Fearless & Royal Sovereign) for last.

How do I know if I have visited all 57 locations for Cartographer?

Open your map and check every white icon. If it shows "Undiscovered," you have not been close enough. Forts register when you sail near them. Shipwrecks require entering with the Diving Bell. Hunting spots and viewpoints do not count.

Where should I farm materials for Jackdaw upgrades?

Board ships instead of sinking them for double yield. Use the spyglass to target ships carrying the material you need. Kenway's Fleet missions provide passive income on top of that. Our ship fleet guide covers the Fleet system in detail.
